Reminder to all K-12 Teachers of Mathematics,
Before you
take your winter break, make your plans to attend this March
Professional Development opportunity to recharge your mathematical tool
belt. This full-day Conference for K-12 teachers will be held on
Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Rhode Island College. The 2013 conference
theme is, "Problem Solving: at the Heart of the Common Core."
Joseph
Malkevitch, from York College (CUNY) will present both a keynote talk,
"Need a Fairness Expert? Who Do You Call?" and a follow-up workshop in
the afternoon. A 1-page Program-At-A-Glance is attached along with the
full program for the day which contains descriptions of all sessions in
each of the grade level strands of K-5, 4-6, 6-8, 7-12 & 9-12.
The conference fee of $32 covers all conference expenses including morning refreshments and lunch with your colleagues.
